Mumbai: The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Monday said that Zakir Hussain Shaikh, who was arrested in a case of "criminal conspiracy to commit terrorist acts", has revealed that he had been receiving instructions from his handlers based in a foreign country.

Zakir was arrested by Maharashtra ATS from suburban Jogeshwari in Mumbai during an operation conducted on Friday night in connection with the Pakistan-supported terror module busted by Delhi Police last week.
The ATS on Saturday told a special court in Mumbai that Zakir was in touch with one Anthony from "neighbouring country". It had also told the court that he was hatching a criminal conspiracy to carry out terror attacks using explosives in Maharashtra and elsewhere.
