Maharashtra Covid lockdown news live: State reports 62,919 new cases, 828 deaths
Even as the state government on Thursday extended the lockdown-like restrictions till May 15, chief minister Uddhav Thackeray directed district administrations to prepare for the third wave of the pandemic. The CM said oxygen plants should be set up without delay and instructed officials to ensure stock of essential medicines. He also asked officials to keep records of labourers coming from other states to ensure they do not carry the virus.
