Parents, alumni, and Hindu organisations have expressed their displeasure with the government school for allowing Friday Namaz.

Kolar (KTK): The administration of a government school in the district's Mulbagal town has drawn the wrath of parents, alumni, and Hindu organisations for allegedly allowing Muslim students to offer Friday Namaaz on the school grounds.

Parents of other students and alumni of the school joined Hindu organisations in mounting a protest inside the Balechangappa Government Karnataka Model Secondary School at Someshwarapalya for setting a "new precedent" by allowing Friday prayers.

On Saturday, one of the alumni who organised the demonstration requested the assistance of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Kolar MP S Muniswamy, and Education Department officials.
