On the second day, Russia's attacks on Ukraine have continued unabated, with a series of explosions targeting Kyiv, the country's capital. According to the Ukrainian president, 137 people, including civilians, were killed on the first day of the Russian invasion. MEA will sent staff to four locations along Ukraine's borders with Romania, Poland, Hungary, and the Slovak Republic to assist in the evacuation of Indian people.

If Moscow continues on this course, relations between the US and Russia will be completely shattered: Biden
President Joe Biden stated that if Moscow continues on its current path, the US-Russia relationship will "completely rupture," and that Washington and its allies will impose heavy consequences on the Russian economy.
He claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin has rejected every "good-faith effort" by the US and its partners to address common security concerns through discussion in order to prevent unnecessary conflict.

Ukraine's central bank has imposed a payment restriction on Russia and Belarus.
Payments to organisations in Russia and Belarus, as well as transactions involving both countries' currencies, have been blocked by Ukraine's central bank, the regulator announced on Friday, a day after Russia started a full-scale invasion.
